As originally ordered by Courtesy Motors in Littleton, Colorado, this Highland Green Shelby GT500KR was built on June 25, 1968. With the model year winding down, this was the 3,794th Shelby created in 1968, but is one of just 299 that paired the 428 Cobra Jet engine with factory air conditioning. Also included were the GT Equipment and Visibility Groups, power steering, power front disc brakes, tilt-away steering column, AM radio, tinted glass, Interior Décor group, tachometer and trip odometer. The front seats were Black knitted décor buckets, and occupants could take advantage of the Sport Deck Rear Seat. That was back in 1968. Today, the low-mileage car is a meticulously restored example of Shelby’s legacy, rebuilt by no less than Mustang Club of America judge Tim Mynes using original and NOS Ford parts. Thus restored to a level above both Concours Certified and Trailered Gold, the final result was not one, not two, but 10 consecutive MCA Thoroughbred Gold Awards. A Deluxe Marti Report is also with this car, as is an amazing assortment of documentation and provenance—Shelby build sheet, Shelby invoice, Ford production report, the Hadley shipping report, and even a Ford zone salesman’s report. - 1968 Shelby GT500KR no. 3794 - Ten consecutive MCA Thoroughbred Gold Awards - Restored by MCA judge Tom Mynes using original or Ford NOS parts - Matching numbers drivetrain - 428 CI 4V Cobra Jet engine - C6 automatic transmission - 3.00 standard axle ratio - Power steering - Power front disc brakes - Refreshed in Highland Green - Bucket seats and console - Sport deck rear seat - Tilt-away steering column - Factory air conditioning - Interior decor group - Tinted glass - Build sheet - Marti Report
